Dinghy and Catamaran Experience:
Sailed Sprog, Fireball and Dart Class competitively, including one Regional Championship Gold medal and a number of National Class representations at international events.
Coached and Managed teams to ISAF and World Sailing Youth Worlds and Class World Championships.
Keel Boat Experience:
Raced extensively on inland waters and in coastal regattas and coastal races, particularly in Holiday 23, Pacer 27 and Simonis 35 classes.
Completed 6 Atlantic Crossings and numerous Coastal voyages between 1982 and present, four as skipper or co-skipper.
Hold SA Sailing Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.
Sailing Administration Experience:
Served as Commodore of Boskop Yacht Club for a number of terms.
Currently serving as a Trustee of the South African Ocean Racing Trust.
Currently serving as President of South African Sailing.
